World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
item upgrading are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't change much after an upgrade and aren't worth it.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a group. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain on its own.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons also reroll the stats of their base. This is usually a good factor, but it could also have negative consequences. In the case of items that only see use in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may make them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their stats. This will increase the defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it may change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain when upgrading, as well as the relative values of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item menu, using the circling arrows. This will reroll an item and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's level or connect it to an account's status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the more health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each level will differ. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in cold environments with a large group of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with your comrades.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or the power of spells. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some upgrades to your chest armor and helmets to permit you to sneak past certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give the player with a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. Alternatively the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or the chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades changes depending on what type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.
To upgrade a potions you need to right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI in which you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. upgrade item can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
When a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate until you take it out again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the way potions are used. For example, splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item). The table of potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the effect can be extended by adding redstone. The potion table is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important such as a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket is used to express affection or friendship between family members.
In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items which can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold, or fragments from trinkets that are rare.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl of the old one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment that won't be replacing in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than buying the new one.
